CORE Interest Form (2019)

Emory University's Cultural Overnight Recruitment Experience (CORE) fall visit program is designed to support talented, high-achieving high school seniors who are from first-generation and/or underrepresented cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. This year's overnight program is being held October 10-12, 2019.

For this fly-in program, the Office of Admission will purchase plane tickets for students selected to attend the program who live outside a 275-mile radius of Atlanta, Georgia. Students who are selected to attend who live within this radius are expected to drive to campus.

Due to the brevity of the visit, only students living in the United States or Puerto Rico are eligible for consideration. Priority will also be given to those students who have not yet visited campus.

To be considered for CORE, students will need to complete an application that will be made available by the end of July. In the meantime, students can do the following:

  1. Complete the short form below. All students who submit a form will be contacted via email when the CORE application is open at the end of July.
  2. Review the CORE application questions and begin working on your answers. Please note, these questions are for the CORE application only. They are not the same supplemental questions for Emory University's application.
  • If your life was a song, what would the chorus be and why? (150 words max)
  • What characteristics of your current community resonate with you the most? What do these characteristics mean to you? (150 words max)

Questions about CORE in general can be directed to admission@emory.edu.
