How does one's mood impact their motivation? What happens to the brain and body when you feel anxiety? Join Dr. Treadway as we explore these topics of psychology, and what research at Emory looks like in the social sciences.

Dr. Treadway is a cognitive neuroscientist and licensed clinical psychologist. He is the director of the Translational Research in Affective Disorders Laboratory (TReAD Lab) at Emory, exploring the molecular and circuit-level mechanisms for psychiatric symptoms related to mood, motivation, and anxiety. The lab employs a wide range of research methods, from fMRIs to genetics! A particular interest has been the assessment of reward motivation in psychiatric populations. He received his PhD in clinical psychology from Vanderbilt University and completed his clinical internship and post-doc at McLean Hospital/Harvard Medical School.
