What Else You Need To Know |
- Admitted Student Survey: Please remember to complete the admitted student survey. You received your unique link to the survey in an email from the Office of Admission on May 13. While the survey is optional, it helps us to better understand and improve the college search and selection process for students like you. The survey takes less than 15 minutes to complete and your responses are strictly confidential. Thank you in advance for your participation.

- Transfer/Test Credit Approval: If you have pursued college coursework at an accredited college/university and/or have received AP/IB or other test credits and would like to receive transfer credit and/or test credits, you will need to complete the correct form.
For AP/IB/other test credits, please submit the Request for Approval of Test Credits form. Oxford must receive your AP/IB results directly from the College Board or IB. Please request to have those credits sent from College Board or IB before you submit the Request for Approval of Test Credits form. Oxford cannot post AP/IB or other test credits to your OPUS account until we receive this completed form.
For transfer college credits, please submit the The Request for Approval of Transfer Credits Form. We require an official transcript from the college/university where you took the class(es). Please send those transcripts directly from the host school to Oxford College's Registrar's Office before submitting the Request for Approval of Transfer Credits form. Do not select "Emory University" if using Parchment to request the transcripts, as those will go to the Atlanta campus. There should be an option to enter an email address, where you can send it directly to oxregistrar@emory.edu.
If you have any questions regarding completion of either form, please contact the Oxford Registrar's Office at oxregistrar@emory.edu. For more detailed information on credit policy, please visit our website.

- Fall Mobility Credit: Spring-Start students have the opportunity through Mobility Credit to take a maximum of two classes (8 credits in total) through another accredited institution during the fall semester before their start at Oxford. Mobility Credit requires pre-approval. The benefit to the student is the certainty of how specific courses taken at another accredited institution will appear on their Emory transcript. When a student takes and passes the specific course for which credit was designated with a “C” grade or better, and ensures a transcript of that work is sent to Oxford by the posted deadline, the student can be sure that credit will be posted to their Oxford/Emory transcript.
To request pre-approval, students must complete a Mobility Credit application form. Included in the application you can find courses pre-approved in the past in your location or subject of interest. You can also request new courses be considered for approval by providing a course description or syllabus from the host school. Requesting a new course will be a slower process, as we have to wait for faculty to review the course information (which can take some time over the summer).
More information can be found on the Spring Start Academic Path page of the Welcome Website.
Dean Braun with the Advising Support Center will be hosting a virtual information session about this process on Thursday, June 13 at 6 pm ET. Register here to join. |
- Campus Life Onboarding Webinars: Parents and prospective students can find videos with information and resources that will help support the transition into the Oxford community on the Parents and Supporters page of the Welcome Website. Topics will include student health, campus engagement and involvement, advising, course registration, housing, residence living, dining, sending packages and much more. All webinars will include contact phone numbers, websites and/or email addresses.
- Required Student Health Forms: As we have migrated to a new system, our health forms are still in the process of being updated. We will let you know as soon as they are available to be completed. In the meantime, please upload your completed and signed Immunization Form to the Student Health Portal by October 1. As a reminder, TB screening must be done within 6 months of arrival on campus. Having testing done prior to this time frame will need to be repeated.
- First-Year Advising Questionnaire: As part of the incoming first-year student checklist, all new students must complete the First-Year Advising Questionnaire. The information submitted by YOU, the student, will be shared with the Advising Support Center and your faculty advisor.
Your assigned faculty advisor will also be the instructor of your Discovery Seminar (DS 101) course. Faculty advisors are trained to work with all students, regardless of potential majors, and they will serve as one part of your advising network at Oxford College and Emory. The information you provide in the questionnaire will help your advisor prepare to better assist you as you work together. You will have the opportunity to meet your assigned advisor during New Student Orientation in January.
We encourage students to complete this form as soon as possible. Spring students have until October 15 to complete this item. Please answer ALL questions and be honest with your answers!
- Final High School Transcript: Please be sure your high school submits your final transcript to the Office of Admission when it's available. We understand that some school districts do not release transcripts until mid-July. Check your Emory applicant portal to see if it’s been received. Remember, official transcripts must be submitted by your school, not by you as the student.
- Oxford Organic Farm: The Oxford campus has an organic farm! Students can be a part of this farm-to-table experience through the work study program, classes, and volunteering.
One theme that holds true on the farm is that the more you give, the more you get. Helping out on the farm means more of our harvest ends up in our dining hall, on the plates of local shoppers, and in local pantries for those in need.
Follow us on Facebook and Instagram to see what's happening on the farm and to find ways to get involved! |
We are excited to welcome you to the class 2028!
