Believe it or not, you'll be moving into Oxford in just about two months. You're almost ready to cross the finish line, but here are a few more reminders before you start packing your bags.

Here are your most important checklist to-do items for the next two weeks. For more information on these items, make sure you read this newsletter in its entirety and review the Welcome Website.

Submit First-Year Advising Questionnaire if you haven't done so already

Register for spring 2025 classes the week of November 11 (official times posted in OPUS)
- CORRECTION: Students do not need to complete a COFHE New Student Survey as suggested in the last email. The Spring Start Checklist on the Welcome Website has been updated accordingly.

What Else You Need To Know |
|
|
- Class Registration and Advising: Spring 2025 class registration will take place the week of November 11. Students can check OPUS to confirm their official enrollment dates and times.
Registration will take place in split fashion, which means students will register for classes during two different enrollment appointments. For incoming spring start students, the first split will take place on November 13, whereby students can enroll up to 8 credit hours credit hours. The second split will take place on November 14, whereby students can register for the rest of their schedules (maximum 19 credit hours). The ASC recommends 17-18 credit hours for your first semester.
NOTE: You will be placed in your DSC_OX 101 course before registration, and it will already be part of your Spring schedule. No need to add DSC into your OPUS shopping carts!
Need some guidance before registration? The ASC is actively hosting large group course planning sessions. During these sessions the ASC team will provide suggestions to help students prepare for registration. If you cannot attend these live sessions, there will be a recording posted to Canvas. You will find the recording of those sessions in the Emory Essentials Oxford Edition Canvas.
Still have questions? If students have quick questions about class registration, please feel free to contact the Advising Support Center (ASC) at oxadvising@emory.edu. The ASC will monitor emails leading up to registration. If you wish to schedule an individual appointment, they are first-come, first-served. Appointments may be scheduled through Emory Navigate. Before booking an appointment, we ask that you have thoroughly reviewed the content in the Canvas course, especially the overviews of the general education program. In the days leading up to registration, we ask incoming Spring students to limit appointments to ONE per student, so we can be meet with as many of you as possible.

- Spring Start Orientation Registration: All students are required to attend Spring Start Orientation. The registration deadline for Spring Start Orientation is December 1. Please click here to register.

- Student Health Services: Please log in to your Emory University Student Health Portal to check your secure messages for any outstanding health requirements. If you have any questions, please call the Student Health Office at 770-784-8376 to speak with a staff member or send an email to oxfordshs@emory.edu.
