Here are the most important checklist to-do items for the next few weeks. For more information on these items, make sure you read this newsletter in its entirety and review the Welcome Website.

What Else You Need To Know |
- Housing Application Reminder: RES will be sending an email to students whose housing applications were marked incomplete. If you submitted the housing application by June 1 but receive this notification, you may be missing the parent/guardian verification form. If you were under 18 when you completed the application, a parent/guardian verification is required. Please email RES@emory.edu for further instructions on parental verification and/or questions about your housing application. Housing assignments and move-in time sign ups will be available starting July 15th at 12:00 pm.

- Transfer/Test Credit Approval: If you have pursued college coursework at an accredited college/university and/or have received AP/IB or other test credits and would like to receive transfer credit and/or test credits, you will need to complete the correct form.
For AP/IB/other test credits, please submit the Request for Approval of Test Credits form. Oxford must receive your AP/IB results directly from the College Board or IB. Please request to have those credits sent from College Board or IB before you submit the Request for Approval of Test Credits form. Oxford cannot post AP/IB or other test credits to your OPUS account until we receive this completed form. We understand some test scores will not be released to students until after July 1, so we ask that students request for the testing organization to send scores to Oxford College as soon as their scores have been released. AP/IB credits will continue to be accepted after July 1. However, we cannot guarantee that requests submitted after July 1 will be processed prior to fall course registration in August.
For transfer college credits, please submit the The Request for Approval of Transfer Credits Form. We require an official transcript from the college/university where you took the class(es). Please send those transcripts directly from the host school to Oxford College's Registrar's Office before submitting the Request for Approval of Transfer Credits form. Do not select "Emory University" if using Parchment to request the transcripts, as those will go to the Atlanta campus. There should be an option to enter an email address, where you can send it directly to oxregistrar@emory.edu.
If you have any questions regarding completion of either form, please contact the Oxford Registrar's Office at oxregistrar@emory.edu. For more detailed information on credit policy, please visit our website.
- Final High School Transcript: Please be sure your high school submits your final transcript to the Office of Admission when it's available. We understand that some school districts do not release transcripts until mid-July. Check your Emory applicant portal to see if it’s been received. Remember, official transcripts must be submitted by your school, not by you as the student.
- Required Health Forms: Please upload your completed and signed Immunization Form by July 1. For more detailed information, please log in to your patient portal and review the secure message with the subject "Welcome Oxford Students". Information can also be found here. If you have questions about the required health forms or immunizations, please send a secure message to the Oxford Student Health Team within the patient portal.

- Emory Welcome App for Oxford’s Orientation: Mark your calendars for the launch of the Emory Welcome App on August 1! In addition to the Eagle Update newsletters, the Oxford First Year Experience Canvas course, and our Welcome Website, the Emory Welcome App will serve as an additional guide for onboarding and New Student Orientation.
From Orientation Week to Weeks of Welcome, you’ll have all of the information you need to navigate Oxford at your fingertips. More information about how to download the app and access Oxford’s guide will be provided in the next Eagle Updates newsletter. For additional questions about New Student Orientation in the meantime, contact oxfordorientation@emory.edu.

- Enrolled Student Survey: We are so excited to welcome you to Oxford this coming school year. Please take this 5-minute survey about your experience with Oxford College of Emory University's Office of Enrollment Services to help us better understand your experience of applying and enrolling at Oxford.
- Oxford Organic Farm: The Oxford campus has an organic farm! Students can be a part of this farm-to-table experience through the work study program, classes, and volunteering.
One theme that holds true on the farm is that the more you give, the more you get. Helping out on the farm means more of our harvest ends up in our dining hall, on the plates of local shoppers, and in local pantries for those in need.
Check out our linktree to see what's happening on the farm and to find ways to get involved! |
