- Summer Communications: For to update their contact information for summer communications from the Office of Enrollment Services:
The Office of Enrollment Services will communicate with your student over the next few months regarding their final transcript and college credit (from college courses, AP/IB, etc). Have your student check to make sure we have the correct email address for them now and throughout June and July. This is especially important if they have an email provided by their high school that will expire when they graduate.
- Emory Email Account: will be receiving important communications to their emory.edu email address throughout the summer regarding course registration and required health documents, so be sure they set up their Emory email account now and get in the habit of checking it regularly.
Your student's Emory email account is part of Office 365, a cloud-based communication system provided to all students. It includes web-based email with 5TB file storage, personal and shared calendars, and much more. Office 365 email can be set up on mobile devices using these instructions.
Still have questions? Check out these FAQs, download the Oxford Student IT guide, or contact Oxford College Information Technology (OCIT) at oxford-helpdesk@emory.edu. |
- Housing: The deadline for students to submit their housing application via the MyHousing portal is June 1, and housing assignments will become available in your MyHousing account by 12 pm ET July 15.

- Gap Year Request: Oxford College's deadline to defer enrollment, or take a gap year, is June 1. For more information, please review Emory's Deferred Admission Policy.
If your student is considering a gap year, have them review the policy and then submit the deferral request form here. Requests are reviewed by the Director of Admission, and students can expect a response in 7-10 business days.
Typically, gap years are approved for one year, and enrollment is expected in fall 2026. Occasionally two-year gap years are approved for military or religious commitments.
- Student Parking Permits: If your student plans to bring a vehicle to Oxford College during the fall and/or spring semesters 2025-2026 and has not already registered their vehicle, they should do so here. The deadline to register a vehicle is June 15 to avoid a $25 late fee.
The cost to register a vehicle is $125.00 per semester. The parking permit fee will be billed to 's student account as part of the pre-term registration bill. If your student plans to keep their vehicle on campus for both the fall and the spring semesters, they should register for both the fall and spring semesters when registering. Student parking permits will be available for pick up during New Student Orientation.
Registration does not automatically mean your student is approved for a permit. Vehicles on campus that are not approved will be subject to parking violations and could result in the vehicle being towed off campus at the owner’s expense. Parking permits are issued on a first-come, first-serve basis, so apply as soon as possible.
If for any reason, your student determines that they no longer need a parking permit or have any questions please call 404.991.1781 or email oxford.transportation@emory.edu. Learn more about parking permits here.

- Orientation Week: Save the Date! New Student Orientation (NSO) for all our first-year students begins after move-in on Friday, August 22 and will last until the first day of classes on Wednesday, August 27.
NSO is designed to welcome students to the Oxford community and make their transition to campus as smooth as possible. They'll get the chance to experience traditions like the Oxford Olympics, and have opportunities to meet faculty, staff and students, with the guidance of a sophomore Orientation Leader.
Students should get ready to meet new friends, try new things, and have some fun!
Students are able to invite family and supporters to campus to help them move in. We have a special program for guests on August 22 which will conclude just before dinnertime. At that point, we ask family members to depart campus and allow their students to fully engage in the rest of the program.
Questions? Please email leadership@emory.edu.
